Yes. The Free plan is free forever with no credit card required. You get 1 emergency contact, daily check-ins, SMS + voice alerts, and location sharing — the core SafetyCheck experience — at no cost.
What does "priority alert delivery" mean?▼
Basic subscribers' emergency alerts are processed first in our queue. In practice, this means your alert is dispatched with the lowest possible latency. Free alerts are still fast — this is a guarantee of prioritization during high-traffic periods.
Can I cancel my Basic subscription anytime?▼
Yes. Cancel anytime from your App Store or Google Play account settings. Your Basic features remain active until the end of your current billing period, then you automatically return to the Free plan. No cancellation fees.
How does the annual plan work?▼
The annual plan bills you once per year at $59.99 (Basic) or $99.99 (Pro) — saving you 17% compared to paying monthly. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time through your App Store or Google Play settings.
When is Pro launching?▼
Pro is currently in development. It includes Apple Watch + Wear OS integration, real-time health monitoring (heart rate and blood oxygen), live GPS tracking, and a monthly safety report. Join the
waitlist and we'll notify you the moment it's available.
What happens if my emergency contact doesn't have SafetyCheck?▼
Your emergency contact does not need the app. SafetyCheck contacts them via a regular phone call and SMS — they just need a phone. The SMS includes a Google Maps link with your last known GPS location.
Is my data private?▼
Yes. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. Your location is only captured and shared during an active safety alert — never tracked continuously. You can delete your account and all data at any time. Read our full
